I recently received a few emails overloaded with questions and concerns about one issue in particular. And, as you probably know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Which is what prompted this weeks subject.

Too many of you are not taking the right steps toward preventing breast cancer. There, I said it.

But after much thought, I realized a lot of women out there don’t know the few simple steps they could take to decrease the probability of getting breast cancer. So in order to change this, I’m going to share with you just a few simple things you can do to help prevent it.

Because, lets face it, prevention is always better than cure when it comes to breast cancer. So what steps can you take, starting right now?

For starters, take your bra out when sleeping. You would be surprised out how many women don’t do this. Wearing a bra from more than 12 hours a day can, and will, contribute to the growth of cancer cells in the breast. Taking this simple step can drastically reduce your chances of getting breast cancer.

As well as staying active. I know, its something every Doctor will tell you. But when you exercise and stay physically active you are helping your body push harmful toxins out! Which is exactly what your body should be doing.

Which brings me to the next subject: alcohol. Yes, its no surprise that by drinking too much alcohol is bad for you. It’s effects on the body can include breast cancer. So minimize your alcohol intake, it will make your feel ten times better.

Breast cancer is deadly. Don’t wait until you develop cancerous cells to start taking precautions. Follow these simple steps now for a better – and healthier – life.

And please, remember to get a Mammogram. Having yourself checked out by a professional if you suspect something is wrong with your body will help you. Early detection of breast cancer will help you
fight and win.
