

Dr. James S. Pendergraft opened
the Orlando Women's Center in March 1996 to provide a full range
of health care for women, including abortions, physical examinations,
family planning, counseling, laboratory services and sexually
transmitted disease screening and counseling.
He is Board Certified in Obstetrics
and Gynecology and a specialist in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
and high risk pregnancies. A Chief of Perinatology, Washington,
DC, since1993, he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor
of Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill.
Dr. Pendergraft received his Doctorate of Medicine from Meharry
Medical College, Nashville, Tennessee 1982, where he graduated
in the top 10% of his class. He is a member of the prestigious
Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Pendergraft served as a Medical
Officer in the U.S. Army, receiving extensive emergency practice
while stationed in Seoul, Korea and at the U.S. Army Health
Clinic, The Pentagon, Washington, D.C. He continues to serve
as a Medical Officer in the U.S. Army Reserves.
During his internship he received
the highest in-service examination score among interns. He
is also trained and qualified to perform high-risk pregnancy
terminations using the latest technology in sonography, specialized
instruments and the most effective and safe medications.
Dr. Pendergraft has been performing
terminations since 1987.
He has received advanced training in second trimester terminations,
and remains highly
dedicated to reproductive research.
