Pain, Sedation and Anesthesia - Frequently Asked Questions

Our Deep IV Sedation is available at a nominal fee. It allows patients less than 12 weeks pregnant to have a 3 minute pain-free abortion surgical procedure. You may think that you have gone to sleep, or that you are unconscious but that is not the case. You remain alert throughout the entire procedure and follow simple directions, but you normally do not remember anything regarding the procedure itself.

General Anesthesia allows patients to have a pain-free surgical procedure and be asleep throughout the entire procedure which generally only takes 3minutes to perform in the first trimester of pregnancy (3 to 12 weeks). General Anesthesia is needed if the patient is experiencing a tremendous amount of anxiety, has a tremendous fear of pain or some other fear, she has tried regular of Deep IV Sedation and she failed to remain still on the examination table, or she was very uncomfortable during the attempted abortion procedure. We Guarantee that you will not experience pain while the surgical procedure is being performed when given General Anesthesia in our offices. You may request a refund immediately if you experience pain during the surgical procedure if given General Anesthesia. General Anesthesia is not offered at all five locations, nor is it offered everyday of the week. Please call for availability and times.
